Collaborative State Projects

Congratulations!

The four states selected for the 2008-2009 CSPs are Maryland, Michigan, Montana, and Vermont.

HAP looks forward to partnering with these programs to develop innovative and replicable models to address challenges related to volunteer recruitment and Medicare Advantage training and counseling.

Many thanks to all the states that applied. We hope your program will apply again next year.

A Collaborative State Project (CSP) is a 12-month partnership between the Health Assistance Partnership (HAP) and a State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP). The overall goals of a CSP are:

  • To expand upon and strengthen existing SHIP initiatives by providing customized assistance;
  • To develop innovative and sustainable practices or models based on proven interventions;
  • To share best-practices with the entire SHIP network that can be replicated in other SHIP programs with similar needs.

Below are examples of some of the products developed during the CSP process.
